APSC 251 - Introduction to Engineering DesignIntroduction to Engineering Design (3) Prerequisite(s): PHYS 101 (College 200, NQR) This course will be an introduction to engineering design and will touch upon a variety of engineering subsets such as mechanical, electrical, optical, ocean engineering and material sciences. The course will be project based and will utilize William & Mary's makerspace facilities and tools to apply design thinking and experimentation in engineering concepts as the students work towards development of a multidisciplinary product. Additionally, the aesthetic and cultural components of product design will be investigated and applied towards understanding of the product development process. (This course is anchored in the NQR domain, and also considers aspects of the ALV domain.) |
