BIOL 220 - Introduction to Organisms, Ecology, Evolution


Fall (3) Cristol, Williamson Corequisite(s): BIOL 221   or BIOL 298   (College 200, NQR, GER 2B)

Course is designed for potential biology majors. Lectures explore the diversity of organisms, their interactions with each other and the environment, and the evolutionary processes that produce diversity. Topics include Mendelian genetics, major taxonomic groups, ecology, and evolution. Presupposes strong background in high school biology. (This course is anchored in the NQR domain, and also considers aspects of the ALV and CSI domains.) Three class hours.
