SOCL 361 - Social Movements and Social Change

Fall or Spring (3) Bickham Mendez, Linneman (College 200, CSI, GER 3)

This course examines different approaches to social change, social movements and collective action. Case studies will be used to explore such topics as; movement formation, strategies and effectiveness, collective identities, counter-cultures, the media and social control. (This course is anchored in the CSI domain, and also considers aspects of the ALV and NQR domains.)
