HIST 231 -  The Global Color Line: U.S. Civil Rights and South African Anti-Apartheid Politics

This course examines the Civil Rights movement as part of a centuries-long tradition of black freedom struggles. The course also compares the Civil Rights movement with the South African antiapartheid struggle and shows the close transnational relationship between African Americans and black South Africans.
