ENGL 405 - Linguistic Field Methods
Fall or Spring (4) Staff Prerequisite(s): (ENGL 304 or LING 304) and (ENGL 307 or LING 307) and (ANTH 418 or ENGL 418 or LING 418). (GER 3)
In this advanced linguistics course, students work closely with a speaker of another language to discover the structure of that language and to describe different aspects of its grammar: phonetics, phonology, morphology, and syntax. (Cross-listed with ANTH 412 and LING 405.)
