MSCI 580 - Asian Environmental Issues of the 21st Century

This purpose of this course is to provide students with a working knowledge of past, current, and future environmental issues in East Asia in relation to societal, economic, and regulatory structures. Emphasis will be placed on large-scale environmental issues that impact ecological, social, and economic processes. Students will be expected to assimilate the course material into hypothetical development of future East Asian and global environmental policies. Grading will be based on a presentation, written mid-term prospectus, and final term paper on an individual environmental topic. Cross-listed with ENSP 440.
