FMST 220A - Television Sports Today

This course concentrates on television sports programming and production. Students receive instruction in the art of negotiation, program selection and scheduling, finance and business ethics. All aspects of television sports pre-production, production and post-production are covered, including storyline development, program formatting, camera coverage, commentary, graphics and editing. Production critiques of nationally televised events and student interview production are also part of the course. This course takes students inside the exciting and compelling world of television sports. It is taught by Jim Spence, who had day-to-day responsibility for all areas of the most acclaimed television sports organization in history–ABC Sports.
