CSCI 434 -  Network Systems and Design

Credits: (3)
Prerequisite(s): CSCI 415  or (CSCI 301  and CSCI 303  and CSCI 304 )
College Curriculum: COLL 400
This course covers modern computer networking systems and design. We’ll take a top-down approach, starting with the application layer and moving down to the transport, network, and data link layers. We’ll also cover wireless networks. In addition to studying the theories behind computer networking systems and design, we’ll practice these theories through network programming. Students will also conduct a research project on computer network traffic analysis using AI, which satisfies the COLL 400 capstone experience.
