Credits: (3)
Prerequisite(s): CSCI 303  and MATH 211  and MATH 212
The past few years have witnessed a boom in big data across different areas, including commercial platforms, healthcare, social networks, business, finance, and more. The goal of this course is to introduce

fundamental concepts and techniques in data mining.  Specifically, this course will cover basic data mining concepts, graph mining, traditional clustering and classification methods, as well as recent deep

learning techniques.  This course can ultimately help undergraduate students find positions as data scientists after graduation and prepare them for data mining research in post-graduate study.
