SOCL 318 - Gender and Global Human Rights Credits: (3) College Curriculum: CSI This course explores why gender-based violence and discrimination persist globally despite numerous United Nations instruments of human rights law, including the 1979 Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), the 1995 Beijing Platform of Action, and the UN Women, Peace, and Security framework.
