LAW 552 - Pro Bono in Practice

During this 1-credit pass/fail course, students will learn the fundamentals of pro bono practice to enable and inspire their pro bono contributions upon law school graduation. The course will provide contextual training about the Justice Gap and substantive training on key pro bono areas including, among other things, landlord/tenant disputes, divorces, guardianships, and expungements. Students will also learn how to deal with client management issues, ethical considerations of pro bono work, and courtroom procedures.
