LAW 250 - Intro to US Law and Legal System This course introduces the fundamentals of the U.S. legal system to international LL.M. students. Students will explore the structure and content of U.S. law and legal institutions, the U.S. Constitution, federalism, separation of powers, the role of precedent in common law, the theory and practice of the adversary system of justice, and the legal profession. This course is designed to provide students a broad understanding of U.S. law and the U.S. legal system, especially aspects that may be unfamiliar to LL.M. students who received their legal education outside the United States.
