This course helps beginning teachers become more effective educators by reviewing the research literature and systematically collecting and interpreting evidence to improve practice. The course takes place in the context of a summer school/summer enrichment experience for middle and high school youth. Students will learn how to identify and use research literature and evidence to improve practice with a focus on documenting and supporting young people’s thinking and learning.
