LAW 424 - Environmental Law

A study of the natural environment and the history of laws designed to balance environmental protection with industrial development. The course will consider the basic regulatory framework for water, air, natural resources, and solid and hazardous waste through the lens of state and federal law, with consideration given to the changing legal landscape presented by today’s U.S. Supreme Court, politics, and science.
