LAW 498 - Contemporary Challenges in International and Comparative Criminal Justice


This short course addresses a selection of contemporary challenges in international and comparative criminal justice. Topics to be covered will include criminal accountability for the war in Ukraine, corporate criminal accountability for serious human rights violations, criminal accountability for the crime of ecocide (serious damage to the environment), and criminal accountability for ‘bystanders’ in situations of police brutality. Grades will be based on a final examination.
