The Japanese Studies Program
The Japanese Program offers four full years of language training and a variety of courses in Japan’s literature, film, and cultural studies.
Students have the opportunity to work closely with faculty in courses taught in English and in Japanese. In addition to honors theses, independent study, and faculty-student collaborative research projects, students also have the chance to teach in a closely mentored relationship with faculty in both language and content courses.
Major and Minor in East Asian Studies through Asian and Middles Eastern Studies (AMES)
Students may pursue East Asian Studies as a major track or a minor in the interdisciplinary AMES program. Contact a faculty member in the Japanese program for more information.
