Degree Requirements:

Candidates admitted to the M.A. Program as full-time students must be in full-time residence for at least two semesters and must complete all requirements by the deadline specified in the department’s graduate regulations. Those admitted as part-time students must complete all degree requirements within six years of starting the program. All masters students must complete 24 credit hours of coursework, not including credits for HIST 700 . For Comparative and Transnational History students, the 24 credit hours will include the following: Additional Information:
Students must achieve a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Candidates must demonstrate by departmental examination a reading knowledge of a foreign or classical language in which there is a significant historical literature; must pass a comprehensive examination; and must submit a thesis approved by his/her thesis committee. |
