Educational Leadership – Administration & Supervision PreK-12, MEd

The M.Ed. program in administration and supervision Pre-K-12 program emphasizes skills needed for leadership positions in Pre-K-12 educational organizations.
Track A is intended for students who hold a valid Virginia teaching license and have three years of successful teaching experience. This degree can lead to the addition of an endorsement in Administration and Supervision PreK-12 by the Virginia Department of Education. Track A is 36-39 semester hours. Students should discuss the specific course requirements with their advisors.
Track B is intended for students who do NOT hold a valid teaching license and therefore are NOT eligible for an endorsement in administration and supervision. Track B is 30-33 semester hours. Students should discuss the specific course requirements with their advisors.
Students admitted to other graduate degree programs in the School of Education who hold valid teaching licensure may also pursue administrative licensure by working with their advisor to plan a program which includes all of the required licensure course work.
