Geospatial Analysis, Minor

The minor in Geospatial Analysis provides students with a hands-on and theoretical understanding of the uses and applications of geospatial analysis. Geospatial analysis is the process of gathering, visualizing, and interpreting data that has a geographic or spatial component to identify patterns, relationships, and trends. The minor may be combined with any major at William & Mary. The minor can be declared after successful completion of the introductory course GIS 201 or its equivalent. A maximum of two courses may be counted towards a primary major and minor; some courses may be substituted with permission from the minor advisor. In addition to the 12 credits of core requirement, students choose 6 credits from Elective credits which expand concepts, knowledge and understanding and complement the core courses of the minor.
