HIST 495 - Honors Credits: (3) Corequisite(s): HIST 494 Students admitted to honors study in history will be enrolled in this course during the first semester of honors work, typically in the fall of their senior year. Each candidate will be responsible for (a) reading and discussion of a selected list of books in some specific area of historical literature; and (b) preparing to submit a scholarly thesis to his or her advisor two weeks before the last day of classes of his or her graduating semester. When taken in the fall semester, students must concurrently enroll in HIST 494. Admission by consent of the department chair.
