CHIN 101 - Elementary Chinese I (Mandarin) Credits: (4) Training in grammar, pronunciation, aural-oral skills, reading and writing. The work includes intensive practice in speaking and understanding. All scheduled sessions associated with the course are required. CHIN101 is for students who have no Mandarin learning background. Heritage students should take CHIN 111 or CHIN 211. Students who studied Chinese before should consult Department of Modern Languages and Literatures Placement Guideline on the MDLL website before registering for classes.
