SOCL 410 - Food and Society Credits: (3) This course explores the social meanings and the structural relations of power that influence production, distribution, and consumption of food. It focuses on developing a sociological understanding of the structure of a globalized, industrialized agriculture and food system and the impacts on farmers, consumers and communities.
