SOCL 315 - Gender, Sexuality, and the Law

This course explores how legal systems construct and regulate gender and sexuality. We will bring the tools from an array feminist, queer, and critical race theory frameworks to bear upon legal arguments to illuminate their limits and contradictions. This course will be anchored in social science theory as well as the lived experiences of marginalized and criminalized populations.
