BIOL 428L - Entomology Lab

This laboratory course is designed to build skills in insect collection, preservation, and identification through immersive hands-on experiences with local insect fauna. Regular field trips will take students into various habitats to collect, document, and observe insects. This course is heavily field based and will take place in a variety of environments, locations, and weather. Laboratory days will often conclude with designated curation time, where students will work to prepare, pin, and identify the insects collected during the field days. Concurrent registration in BIOL 428 is required.
Three laboratory hours. There is a fee associated with this lab.
