BIOL 106 - Disease, Biomedicine, and Biomedical Research Credits: (3) College Curriculum: COLL 200 Domain (Anchored): NQR Domain (Reaching Out): ALV, CSI Introduction to the biology of common devastating diseases. Topics include the biological basis of specific disease and general approaches for accessing biomedical information, interpreting data from clinical trials, and appreciating the methodological approaches used by biomedical researchers to investigate disease. Not applicable toward the minimum requirements for a major or minor in Biology. Three class hours.
