ECON 382 - Comparative Economics Credits: (3) Prerequisite(s): ECON 101 , ECON 102 A study of the centrally planned economy as a distinctive system of resource allocation and income distribution. The emphasis is on the economics of transition from classical central planning to a market economy. Case studies of reform include Russia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland and China.
