This is an advanced seminar that investigates both the theory and the genre of detective fiction in the German-speaking world and exposes the student to specific practices and methodologies of German Studies. Authors to be discussed include Dürrenmatt, Brecht, Biermann, Arjouni, Gercke, and others.
